For the 2026-27 school year, Gwinnett County Public Schools will continue its free Pre-K program in eight elementary schools, one of which is Norton!

GMAS Interactive Workshop

Help your child be test ready by attending the GMAS Workshop! Test strategies and tips will be discussed at the GMAS Interactive Workshop on February 10th from 5:30-6:30pm in the Cafeteria. Families of 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders are invited attend to practice in preparation of the April tests. Please RSVP via ParentSquare if you plan to attend so we can plan accordingly. See you there!

Mid-Winter Break

GCPS students will be on break from Thursday, February 12, through Monday, February 16. Students and staff return to learning on Tuesday, February 17. Note that GCPS does not offer meal service on student holidays. 
 

All Pro Dads November Meeting

Our next All Pro Dad meeting will be on February 18th from 7:00 am - 7:40 am in the Norton Elementary School Cafeteria. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Math & Science Night

Join us on Thursday, February 19 from 5:30pm-6:30pm to test your Mad-th Scientist Skills, conduct experiments, play games, win prizes, and go home with your own Mad-th Scientist Recipe Cards! We hope to see you there!

Black History Month Parade 2026

On Friday, February 27th, we would love to celebrate all of the amazing African American individuals our students have spent the month learning about with a Black History Month parade!

In order to participate, students must have...

  • Completed a Black History Month Project (Pre-K, K, and 1st grade students are allowed to participate as well)
  • Dress up as the African American figure you studied

Please note that this is only for students, families will not be able to attend. However, we will record the parade and post it on YouTube for parents to see. :)

If you have any questions about the project or dressing up, please contact your child's teacher directly. Thank you!

Early Release Days

On March 4th & 5th, we will be releasing early so we can host Parent Teacher Conferences. Students will be dismissed via their normal transportation method at 12:15pm
